$20,000 Small Business write off

Many doctors are taking advantage of the $20,000 write off – getting Rooms with Style to upgrade the interior design of their rooms. The government recently incentivised small business by stating that $20,000 of assets purchased up until 30th June 2017 can be immediately written off.

This provides a great opportunity for you to upgrade the interior design of your rooms.

It is amazing how new furniture, art and accessories can transform your space.

Australian Privacy Principles

Changes to Privacy Laws March 2014

The Privacy Act now includes a set of 13 new harmonised privacy principles that regulate the handling of personal information by Australian and Norfolk Island Government Health Providers. The principles are called the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). They replace both the Information Privacy Principles (IPPs) that applied to Australian Government agencies and the National Privacy Principles (NPPs) that applied to some private sector organisations.

A number of the APPs are significantly different from the existing principles, including APP 7 on the use and disclosure of personal information for the purpose of direct marketing, and APP 8 on cross-border disclosure of personal information.

If you haven’t updated your privacy policy since the March changes, then it’s time to review it.

If you’d like RWS to review your privacy policy, please contact us on 1300 073 239.

Normally these changes would occur on 1st November of each year. This delay also impacts on worker cover rebates, TAC and DVA.
